St. Louis Symphony Orchestra Board elects two new trustees

Allison W. Roberts and Mark C. Throdahl join 42-person Board


(March 25, 2024, St. Louis, MO) – The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra announced the election of two new trustees to its Board for an initial term of three years: Allison W. Roberts, AVP of Cybersecurity with AT&T and Mark C. Throdahl, Executive Chairman of OrthoPediatrics.

Steve Finerty, Chair of the SLSO Board of Trustees, said, “Allison Roberts and Mark Throdahl both bring unique expertise, an impressive commitment to the symphonic artform and the SLSO, and to supporting its mission to increasing access to music for all. We look forward to working with them to advance key initiatives as we undertake the renovation and expansion of Powell Hall.”

Roberts and Throdahl join a board of 42 trustees, which is led by Chair Steve Finerty; Vice Chairs Nancy Galvin, Noémi Neidorff, Kathleen T. Osborn, and David Steward; Secretary Emily Rauh Pulitzer; Assistant Secretary Dr. Donald Suggs; Treasurer Daniel C. Wessel; and General Counsel Lawrence P. Katzenstein.

Allison W. Roberts is an Assistant Vice President for AT&T leading AT&T’s Sarbanes-Oxley Financial Reporting team. In her more than 20-year career at AT&T, she led transformations in Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, and IT, and managed a $3.1 billion IT portfolio. Her career began at Accenture in 1992 before moving to AT&T in 2002.  A supporter of the arts in St. Louis, Roberts also serves on the Board of Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and volunteers for the Saint Louis Art Museum. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Duke University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mark C. Throdahl is the Executive Chairman of the Board of OrthoPediatrics, a company which develops surgical implants for children with orthopedic conditions. Prior to this position, he served for a decade as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Since 2006, OrthoPediatrics has been the leading innovator in pediatric orthopedics, creating new systems for surgeons and their patients. Prior to joining OrthoPediatrics, Throdahl worked in senior executive roles at Zimmer Biomet, Consort Medical, and Becton Dickinson & Co. A passionate advocate for classical music, Throdahl has been a supporter of the SLSO for many years.  He is a graduate of Princeton and Harvard universities.
